Smokey Mountain Get Away July 23rd-28th 2008

What can I say?... 5 or 6 days in the beautiful Smokey Mountains with great weather and an unlimited supply of roads to explore!...  Five Brothers from five states...  It just don't get any better than this! (Hover on the face for an ID)

Backing out the mileage I traveled there and back, I had an extra 635 miles on my trip meter from Wednesday through Monday!  From the elevation of Pigeon Forge at 1,000 feet to the parking lot at Clingman's Dome at 6,300 feet we did it all!

Wears Valley Video - Teresa shot a lot of short video clips, but most were unusable due to all the bouncing around...  This road is not part of the Smokey's, but the road between Pigeon Forge and Townsend Tennessee...

Now the good news...  One of the motels I checked with on the way out of town said he could give us a room on the creek for $35 per weeknight if we could guarantee 10 or more rooms before Memorial Day weekend next Spring!  Time to start makin' plans folks!!!
