Chapter #80 Weiss Lake Alabama
Our
Photo Page was gitin' so big it seemed to be takin' on a life of it's
own!... Besides taking a long time to load it was hard to
scroll back and find stuff from previous years so I've busted it up
and this is the result... Here's
how it works. I'll leave the current pic's on this page.
Just scroll down this page for the past year or so... For
previous years select them below:
Previous Years - 2011 - 2010 - 2009 - 2008 - 2007 - 2006- 2005 - 2004

- Those of us that could made the trek down to Anniston Army Depot for
the annual Armed Forces Day Celebration... The Depot hosts this
event whenever possible and displays some of their handiwork for the
public to drool over while thanking our fighting men and women and
honoring those who have given so much to preserve our freedom...
05/05/2012 - Slideshow
- Well we decided to forgo our annual pilgrimage to Thunder Beach in
Panama City this year in favor of a trip to Gulf Shores
Alabama... I think it was an excellent choice as most everyone
has pretty much seen the vendors that frequent the Thunder Beach
experience year after year and were ready for a change!... I
never ate so much good seafood in my LIFE as during this trip!
And there were no crowds anywhere we went and only had to wait to be
seated at one restaurant the whole trip! We also ran across some
old friends of MsT's that are staying down in Gulf Shores State Park
and they turned us onto the best lookin' deal I've seen down there on a
place to stay in case we decide to go back next year... Gulf Shores Cabins
Due to Shellys Graduation
she and Jo-Jo had to wait about coming down until the rest of us were
almost ready to leave for home, so they just did the Panama City thang again
this year. I'll post pic's of their excursion later on when they
git their film developed... : )
04/28/2012 - Slideshow
- Yep, there really is a Cornbread Festival every year in South
Pitsburg TN! And here's some photo proof! We had a good
time, and got in some good ridin' while we were at it...
04/07/2012 - Slideshow
- Couldn't stand it any longer... Had to get back to the Lodge at
Guntersville State Park in time for lunch this time and man alive was
it ever good!... : )
04/06/2012 - Slideshow
- First Friday in Gadsden Al. - It was the first event this year and it
was easy to tell folks were ready to get out of the house!...
Seemed like everybody and their brother was there! Had a big
time, ate some good grub (at The Choice, next to Jeffersons) but we
didn't stay for the concert... : (
03/21/2012 - Slideshow - Ricks Swap Meet and ride to Guntersville State Park -
Several of us all went out the mountain to Ricks Swapmeet then
continued on out to Guntersville State Park... Long, but FUN
day! And we got there too late to eat lunch... : (
03/17/2012 - Slideshow - We
didn't take the bikes, but several of us went out to watch Jo-Jo and
Bling Bling at the new Go Cart racetrack right here in Cherokee County!
Sorry I took so few pic's, but my camera was on the fritz! Bling
Bling wound up with a tad of fiberglass damage, but she's back to
normal and once again out on the tracks!
02/25/2012 - Slideshow On a cold February morning MsT and I took the little white trike up to Blairsville GA to check out "The Lodge at Copperhead"
A really good lookin' motorcycle destination that MsT found...
Needless to say, we want to go check it out one weekend during warm
weather!
02/14/2012 - Slideshow - Well the Valentines Day club meeting was not without a tad of embarrassment for our own Joe Friday...
Seems like Maxwell (of Geico fame) found himself a new home...
He'll be seen ridin' between the bars of "Lil' Dog" at the rallies this
summer!
01/01/2012 - Slideshow - Weiss Lake Polar Bear Ride - Can't say it went off without a hitch, but little rain showers tend to put at least a small damper on an otherwise perfect day and event... Many thanks to Pam, John and the crew at BikerShack 411 for once again opening their doors to this maddening crowd and to all our friends, family and fellow enthusiasts that just couldn't leave them scoots parked on a rainy January 1st! With a total of 69 registered for the ride even a little shower couldn't stop us!... So when the ladies got through handing out a few Polar Bear door prizes George led us on a short little ride and we came back and cleaned up the black eyed peas, cornbread and turnip greens!... YUMMM!!!... See yawl next year!
